DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Your soil type and area of application will determine the volume of compost that you need to apply.
Use the following directions as guidelines.
Flower beds, trees and shrubs
Sandy or Clay soil: apply 40L of compost per square meter (m2) in an even layer on top of your soil. Mix the compost into your soil, avoiding existing plants, shrubs and root areas. Water the area well and watch your plants grow.
Loam soil: apply 20L of compost per square meter (m2) in an even layer on top of your soil. Mix the compost into your soil, avoiding existing plants, shrubs and root areas. Water the area well and watch your plants grow.
Seedlings
Apply 10L of compost per square meter (m2) before planting the seedlings. Ensure that the compost is mixed evenly through-out the planting area and water well after planting.
Pots
For filling pots, mix compost and sand in a 1:1 mixture. Ensure proper drainage in the pots by adding stones in the bottom of the pot before filling the pot half with the compost sand mixture. Place the plant in the half full pot, taking care not to damage the roots. Fill the rest of the pot with the mixture and press down firmly to ensure the plant is stable. Water the plant well, ensure that drainage is adequate. For filling up pots, carefully apply a layer of compost on top of the exiting potting soil until the pot is full. Water the plant well.
